You’ll see some of the top game watching locations in Northern Tanzania during this 7-day luxury safari. Visit Tarangire National Park to see vast elephant herds and enormous baobab trees, Serengeti National Park to see big cats and the yearly wildebeest migration, and Ngorongoro Crater to see the Big Five (lion, leopard, rhino, buffalo and elephant). You’ll also go to Lake Manyara National Park, which is a haven for bird lovers and the place where the lions that can climb trees live.

Day 1: Arrival Kilimanjaro -Transfer Arusha

Our agent will meet you at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Arusha Airport (ARK), which handles domestic flights, and drive you to your Arusha lodging. You will spend the night at the Gran Melia in the city of Arusha, which is located at the base of Mount Meru.

Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire National Park

We’re going to leave for Tarangire National Park after an early breakfast. The Tarangire River, which flows through the park, is the source of its name. During the dry season, this “river of warthogs” is the only source of water for the local fauna. Elephant grass and acacia woodlands make up some of the vegetation’s more densely populated areas. The park is well known for its herds of elephants, which frequently gather near the river. The most ideal location to observe these gentle giants in their natural environment, from the charming calves to the commanding bulls, is Tarangire. Giraffe, bushbuck, and hartebeest may also be seen. Numerous predators, including as lions and leopards, are closely monitoring these animals. Tarangire National Park is home to more breeding bird species than any other place on earth. After a substantial game drive and lunch, we will go to our lodging. You will dine and spend the night at Maramboi Tented Lodge.

Day 3: Lake Manyara National Park

After breakfast, you’ll take a short journey to Lake Manyara National Park to go on game viewing drives. Large groups of baboons will be your first encounter. Between Lake Manyara and the Great Rift Valley in Tanzania’s Arusha and Manyara Regions sits Lake Manyara National Park, a protected region. The remarkable variety of varied terrain, as well as plant and animal species, may be found in Lake Manyara National Park. The park offers an incredible opportunity to witness animals and was created specifically to safeguard the elephant populations that have made the area famous. Not all of the animals that make Lake Manyara renowned are elephants. On occasion, lions have been seen climbing trees. Hippos can also be seen in the alkaline Lake Manyara, which is home to flamingos and more than 400 different bird species. At a picnic location, a packed lunch will be provided. Drive a short distance to the Ngorongoro Highlands for dinner and an overnight stay at Kitela Lodge later in the day.

Day 4 – 5: Serengeti National Park

Breakfast in the morning, then drive to the Serengeti while taking in the wildlife. The Serengeti is without a doubt the most well-known wildlife refuge in the world, unparalleled in terms of its aesthetic value and importance to science. In all of Africa, it contains the highest concentration of plains game. The Serengeti is arguably best known for its migration. Every year in October and November, during the brief rains, over a million wildebeest and over 200,000 zebras migrate from the northern hills to the southern plains. Following the long rains in April, May, and June, the migration then shifts to the west and north. No gorge, drought, or river teeming with crocodiles can stop them from moving since their innate want to travel is so powerful. The Great Wildebeest Migration does indeed originate in the Serengeti. The park is filled with wildlife, has boundless grasslands, and has breathtaking sunrises and sunsets. At a picnic location, a packed lunch will be provided. Drive to your lodging for dinner and an overnight stay at Lahia Tented Lodge in the late afternoon.

Day 6: Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Crater

After a leisurely breakfast, proceed to Ngorongoro Crater for a game viewing drive before leaving the Serengeti. One of the most well-known locations in Africa, the Ngorongoro Crater is reputed to have the highest concentration of species in the continent. Occasionally referred to as the “eighth wonder of the world.” The Crater has gained international recognition and draws an increasing number of tourists yearly. Although it is unlikely that you will be able to avoid other vehicles here, you are guaranteed to see fantastic wildlife in a truly stunning setting. Ngorongoro is unique in Africa and cannot be found anywhere else. A top location in the nation to witness the critically endangered black rhinoceros, lions, herds of wildebeests, zebras, and hippos. The full Big Five may be seen in the park, and lions and Cape buffalo can be seen there all year long. At a picnic location, a packed lunch will be provided. Drive to your lodging for dinner and an overnight stay at Kitela Lodge in the late afternoon.

Day 7: Karatu to the Airport

Your private safari guide will pick you up from your lodge after breakfast and take you back to Arusha for lunch, last-minute shopping, and repacking. Transfer to the airport to get a flight to Zanzibar or back home.
